Re: Canon seventy-200 f/2.8 IS vs Tamron 70-200mm f/ii.eight G2
Image quality will exist a bit meliorate on the Tamron, focus accuracy should be a bit better on the IS.
But the risk of buying the IS from a private private is greater than that of fifty-fifty a grey marketplace Tamron.
Where I am the G2 costs more than the IS. If they are the aforementioned cost I would get with the Tamron.

Where I am the G2 costs more than the IS. If they are the same toll I would get with the Tamron.
The only other thing I’d bespeak out is that the Tamron zoom ring turns oppositely to that of the Canon and then if you lot’re used to the fashion other Canon zoom lenses piece of work, that could be quite abrasive.

Cheers for the suggestions everyone. I concluded upwardly going with the Canon. Originally the Catechism and the Tamron were pretty much the same toll but I managed to find quite a good second manus deal for virtually $300 less. It was local so I got to inspect information technology starting time.
And then far, I’ve but had i golf shoot with it and I am quite pleased. The autofocus is super fast and authentic. Keeper rate was at virtually 90%. I’m happy with the epitome quality as well though probably the Tamron G2 could produce even sharper images (just since I don’t take it, I tin’t say).
