Casual

Force:

Value for money & you can have mulitple options of the combinations of the tubes.

Used all combinations of these 3 tubes, excellant value for coin. I don’t think autofocusing is the weakness since, at such very minute object & high DOF information technology becomes difficult.

Forcefulness:

simple, solid and no lens elements high mag. ratio much cheaper than a 100mm macro lens works well with TTL flash and autofocus

Weakness:

autofocus failed to piece of work on normal zoom lens with aperture smaller than f2.viii on the 26mm tube (aperture by a factor of 3x). I found it quite interesting using normal 28-70 zoom with these tubes, but prime number lens are all-time

splendid value for coin, very solid and easy to use with autofocusing and TTL capability. (ameliorate to have f2.viii or better) work all-time with standard 50mm lens and you can actually stop down to make some DOF. (very economic mode to pace into macro photography)

Forcefulness:

Exellent sharpness is obtained since no additional drinking glass is in the optical path

Weakness:

must exist careful when metering if non using your TTL functions.

I similar the versatility of the extension tubes. Light weight and inexpensive for travel. Read and sympathize the lite loss effects if you manually meter your subjects.

Strength:

very handy…fits on every lens (especially nice when used on your tele lens)

Weakness:

sometimes the system that hooks on the meter of the trunk doesn’t ‘lock’

extremely useful when out in the field and y’all need 2 go closer 2 your subject…they even link the electronic contacts between the lens and the body…just a bit pricy (but all photographic equipment seems 2 be expensive)
also when used with a heavy tele lens, they seem a little bit weak, i’1000 always agape they’re gonna break in half…

Customer Service

works well with my F80 and TTL lens

Weakness:

expensive for a no optic tube
so so construction

There is ever some crevice audio, when I use all the three tubes with my fourscore-200 f/ii.eight.Y’all accept to pay extreme attending because it is easy to break when using with a +1kg lens. And then, buyers should effort to get the nearly solid 1 among the other brands.
Effort before yous buy to make sure what you pay for expected for.

Coincidental

Strength:

Makes any lens capable of macro photography. There is NO distortion due to no glass elements (it’due south only a hollow tube). With the correct combination, you can get your bailiwick focused, even when it’s right up confronting the glass of your lens! At that place is no limits with this.

Weakness:

Makes for tiresome autofocus, but in macro photography, y’all aren’t exactly chasing down race horses. This makes for a very slight weakness.

If yous desire excellent macro photography without paying ridiculous prices for a “pro-macro lens” that Yet take a minimum focusing altitude, so go for this extension kit – absolutely indispensable. One note however, when using a zoom lens with these, the magnification and focusing are both used by the focusing band AND zoom ring – it takes a little bit of fourth dimension to get used to but not difficult when you figure it out.
